Whats new with the Emerald Ash Bore???
|
It was originally thought that the Emerald Ash Bore had the same life cycle as its cousin, the Bronze Birch Bore. This flat headed bore completes its' life cycle in one year. It is now believed that the Emerald Ash Bore may have a two year life cycle. This has an impact on treatment selection. Merit treatments are ideal for full season control providing it is being used as a prevention, or eradication of very young larva. If the lavra is in the second season, it may be to large for Merit to do the job. At that point, Bidrin treatments are recomended. When in doubt, contact an arborist for evaluation and recomendations. |
